Description

The silicone wound contact layer provides gentle adhesion and secure fixation, whilst minimising pain and trauma upon removal, enhancing comfort of the patient. Super absorbent fibres within the dressing, retain wound exudate within a gel, preventing maceration of the wound bed. The outer polyurethane layer is waterproof, protecting the wound bed from dirt and bacteria. The dressing will absorb, collect and contain moderate to heavy amounts of exudate. Whilst providing moist wound healing.

It is suitable for use around:

• Lacerations
• Abrasions
• Surgical Wounds

Directions for use.

• Prior to application of the dressing, cleanse the wound as usual with an appropriate wound cleanser or sterile saline, and pat dry the wound edges.
• Select a dressing that will cover the wound contact area.
• Remove the sterile dressing from the package.
• Apply the dressing on to the wound bed.
• Can be left in situ for UP TO 7 days.  Change the dressing before it is fully saturated or at any signs of leakage.
• To remove the dressing, gently lift the corners of the dressing away from the wound.
• Reapply as needed.
• The foam may change colour when exposed to light, air and/or heat. This has no influence on product properties.
