Description

Directions for use –

Prior to application of the dressing, cleanse the wound as usual with an appropriate wound cleanser or sterile saline, and pat dry the wound edges. Select a dressing that will cover the wound contact area. Remove the sterile dressing from the package. Apply the dressing around the stoma, allowing for any tubing to thread through the pre-cut split. As the dressing absorbs exudate, the foam will begin to swell. Once swelling reaches to within 2cm of the dressing edge, the dressing should be replaced. The dressing can be held in place with net bandaging. To remove the dressing, gently lift the corners of the dressing away from the wound. Reapply as needed.   NOT indicated for oesophageal feeding tubes, jugular, PIC or arterial catheters.
