[Product-availability]
Description
Isolates exudate and debris and segregates it from the wound surface. Exudate is absorbed into the dressing without passing through the other side. No additional absorptive dressing is required. Addresses wound odour by acting on odour-producing bacteria and facilitating autolytic debridement. The acetate gauze allows absorption of wound fluid and its constituents whilst providing a moist environment to support wound healing. The high MGO factor and strong osmotic draw of the honey assist in autolytic debridement Suitable as a primary dressing for partial and full thickness tissue damage, with moderate to heavy exudate production. Can be used in conjunction with MANUKA pli as required.

Directions for use –

Prior to application of the dressing, cleanse the wound as usual with an appropriate wound cleanser or sterile saline, and pat dry the wound edges. Select a dressing that will allow the wound contact area to completely cover the wound without extending onto healing tissue. Remove the sterile dressing from the package. Remove either plastic film backing from the gauze and apply to the wound bed. Either side of exposed dressing can be applied to the wound bed. If required apply MANUKApli to the wound bed or dressing. Carefully smooth around the edge of the dressing to ensure good contact to the wound bed. Once the dressing is securely in place, peel away the other side of the backing material from the dressing. This dressing serves as a direct replacement for absorptive dressings – no secondary dressing is required.
