Designed for prolonged guttural pouch therapy, this non-irritating polyurethane catheter system allows for secure, comfortable placement and extended treatment in equine patients.
The catheter is placed endoscopically by visualising the guttural pouch through one nostril while advancing the catheter introducer through the opposite nostril. Once positioned, the catheter may remain in place for several days, enabling continuous treatment while minimising repeated instrumentation. The catheter can be secured to the horse’s halter and protected with a grazing muzzle for safe, practical long-term use.
