The Medtronic ILA100 is a stainless steel linear surgical stapler used for bowel, stomach, and lung tissue transection and anastomosis, designed for precision, efficiency, and single-use loading unit compatibility.
The ILA 52 and ILA 100 staplers can be used for transection of the large or small bowel, stomach and lung tissue. It can also be for anastomosis of bowel to bowel, or stomach to bowel. Always make sure usage is consistent with the product labeling and that of the disposable loading units used with this device. . Also, there must be adequate vascularization and normal healing criteria present to ensure normal, healthy tissue.
